1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramel candy
2/3 c. evaporated milk, divided
1 box German chocolate cake mix
**prepared as specified on box with a couple of modifications**
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Melt candy and 1/3 c. evaporated milk over low heat. Prepare cake mix according to box instructions except substitute 1/3 cup of the liquid for 1/3 cup of evaporated milk.

Grease and flour a 9" x 13" baking pan and pour half of cake batter in pan (about 2 cups). Bake for 15 minutes in a 350º oven, spread caramel mixture on top of warm cake. Let the candy warm up from the cake in order to spread evenly. Sprinkle chopped pecans and chocolate chips over the top of caramel layer. Pour rest of cake batter on top of chocolate and nuts; spread evenly. Return to oven, bake an additional 20 - 30 minutes longer. Make sure actually done in the middle.
