Ingredients:  
2 cups of flour
2/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon of baking soda
¼ teaspoon of salt
1 cup (2 sticks) of butter, softened
1 cup of granulated sugar
2/3 cup of packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of peppermint extract
6 ounces of semisweet baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup of chopped walnuts

Directions:

1. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl
2. In another bowl, beat butter and sugars with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy
3. Add eggs and extract; mix well
4. Gradually stir in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed
5. Stir in chocolate and walnuts
6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart on baking sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray
7. Bake in over at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes, or just until cookies are set
8. Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes
9. Remove to wire racks, cool completely
