1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 onion finely chopped
Salt and pepper
1 egg
½ cup bread crumbs (or day old bread/bun)
1 cup hot milk or warm water
Parsley chopped

Directions:
Soak bread in milk or warm water. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Mix ingredients together and shape into a loaf. Bake at 350° until done (about 1.5 hours).

Using a Marathon chopper ensures the onions are chopped very finely. Rose uses ground beef only, eliminates the milk and adds French Onion spice, paprika and about ¼ cup ketchup to the mixture.
