3 1/2 lb chicken thighs
1 T flour
1 T oil
2 lbs shallots- peeled
3 cinnamon sticks
1 1/2 teas ground ginger
1 teas cumin
1/2 teas turmeric
1/8 teas cayenne
3 cups chicken broth
5 T lemon juice
12 dates, halved
1/4 cup chopped, toasted almonds
1/4 cup cilantro

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and flour, sauté in oil and set aside. Add shallots, sauté until tender. Add spices, stir until fragrant (1-2 min). Add broth and 3 T lemon juice, bring to a boil and simmer 20 min. Add chicken and dates, simmer 30 more min. Add remaining 2 tablespoons lemon juice, stir and top with almonds and cilantro.
Serve with couscous or rice
