Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
1 Cup of oil
3 Tablespoons of flour
4 Eggs
1 small box of strawberry jello
1/2 cup of water
2 small boxes of frozen sliced strawberries

Directions:
Directions:
º350 for 45 minutes. Mix ingredients listed above and bake in a 13x9 inch cake pan. Done when inserted toothpick comes out "clean". While cake is cooling, mix 1 small box of strawberry jello with 1/2 cup of warm water. Poke several holes in the cake, but not all the way to the bottom of the pan. Pour jello over cake.

For the topping you can microwave a package of frozen strawberries, mix in a large container of cool whip and spread over a completely cooled cake. Or
you can mix up a box of powered sugar with a stick of butter (or cream cheese). Add the liquid of the thawed strawberries as you mix. When right consistency, spread on the cooled cake. (You can also mix frozen strawberries in the cake mix mixture if desired.)

Personal Notes:
I met Nancy Cook at church during vacation Bible School when we first moved our family to Texas. Nancy was my idea of a perfect wife, mother and cook. Every evening she prepared a large meal for her family, that included salad, hot bread, entree, veggies and some sort of dessert. Strawberry cake was one of my favorites so she prepared this fast gooey cake often. As my "pilot husband was not home for dinner at least 3 nights a week, my little family ate dinner with her family often. Great nurturing memories of the Cook family.
