1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup paprika
2 1/2 Tbsp ground black pepper
2 1/2 Tbsp kosher salt
1 1/2 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 1/2 Tbsp Onion Powder
1 to 2 tsp cayenne pepper
3/4 teaspoon ground savory
3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the rub ingredients in a bowl. I generally will use a mustard base on ribs or briskets and generously apply rub on to the mustard. This rub is cheaper than buying expensive rubs and usually turns out less salty.
