1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. oil
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. allspice or cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped dried apricots
1/2 c. chopped dried apples
1/4 c. cran-raisins
1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c. rice crispies
1/2-3/4 c. wheat germ

Directions:
Directions:
Cream brown sugar, butter, oil and lemon juice until fluffy. Add egg, beat well. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt and spice to the mixture. Blend well. Add dried fruit. Mix well. Stir in wheat germ, rice crispies and oats. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake 350º for 10-12 minutes. Let cool 1 minute then remove from cookie sheet.
