2 pints fresh oysters, drained and reserve liquid
1 stick butter
2 c. milk
1 box saltine or Ritz crackers, finely crushed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Thoroughly coat casserole dish with butter.

Over medium heat, melt butter with the milk, add the reserved liquid from oysters.

Layer the crumbs and oysters, ending with a crumbs on top. Add the milk mixture, making sure the liquid reaches all the crumbs so there are no dry spots. Add extra pats of butter to the top.

Bake for 45 minutes or until top is golden brown.
