1 cup unsalted butter, softened or butter flavored Crisco
1/2 cup Powdered Sugar PLUS additional for rolling
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325F. In large bowl with an electric mixer, beat butter with 1/2 c. conf. sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, pecans, vanilla and salt just until blended. Shape into small balls or crescents. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven until very lightly browned. While cookies are warm, roll to coat in additional powdered sugar.
