4 chicken breasts
1 can Veg-All
1 onion, chopped and sautéed
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 can cream of chicken, chicken mushroom or
mushroom soup
Optional: can of mushrooms and/or sliced water
chestnuts (either drained)

Topping
1 cup milk
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup flour (sometimes I use self rising and sometimes I use all-purpose - either works!)

Directions:
Directions:
Stew chicken breasts (I prefer using the ones with bones). Cool and cut meat into big pieces. (You may use leftover chicken or turkey. - about 2 cups. This is one of the meals that always follows "Chicken and Dumplings" at our house.) Drain and rinse a can of Veg-All. Place chicken in casserole or 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish and spread Veg-All on top. Add onion, salt and pepper to taste and any desired optional ingredients. Mix soup with a little chicken stock to thin a bit and pour over casserole. Pour topping over soup layer and bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until top is browned.

Topping
Mix melted butter, milk and flour with a whisk. Mix until just combined.

Personal Notes:
I was given this recipe in a grocery store as I picked up a can of Veg-All. A lady I'd never met said this was the best and easiest chicken pie ever made. She was right!
