"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Directions:
Using a biscuit cutter, cut two 3 inch rounds from the bread and spread peanut butter on them. In a small pan on the stove or in the microwave, melt the jelly over low heat. Mix the bran cereal with the jelly. Using a spoon, arrange the bran cereal around the edge of the bread rounds to resemble the twigs of a nest. Arrange the raisins in the enter to look like "eggs". (You can use dried apricots, or fresh blueberries instead of raisins!) Let your nests cool before serving.

My favorite teacher in 4th grade used to make these for our class. I plan on making them for Kennedy as a fun healthy snack! It's super easy and so much fun.
