6 slices bread
butter or margarine
1 lb. pork sausage
1 1/2 c. (6oz.) shredded longhorn or cheddar cheese
6 eggs, beaten
2 c. half-in-half (or milk)
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Remove crusts from bread if desired; spread bread slices with butter. Place in greased 13x9 baking dish. Set aside.
Cook sausage until browned; stirring to crumble; drain well. Spoon over bread slices; Sprinkle with cheese.
Combine eggs, milk and salt. Mix well and pour over cheese.
Cover casserole and chill overnight.
Remove from refrigerator 15 min. before baking.
Bake uncovered at 350º for 45 minutes.
