48 Hershey Kisses or chocolate stars
1/2 c. Shortening
3/4 c. Creamy peanut butter
1/3 c. Sugar
1/3 c. Brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. Flour
1/2 tsp salt
Sugar for rolling cookies
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat peanut butter and shortening in bowl. Add 1/3 cup sugar and brown sugar, beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla, beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt, gradually beat into mixture. Shape dough into one inch balls and roll in sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes, immediately press chocolate into center of cookies.
