6 large cooking apples
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup milk
oil for deep frying
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and core apples and slice into 1/3 inch thick slices. Combine dry ingredients. Add egg and milk and mix well for 3 minutes. Dip apple slices in batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
