1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. warm water

Directions:
Sprinkle yeast and 1 t. of the sugar into the warm water (105* - 115*); stir to dissolve yeast. Let stand until bubbly, about 10 minutes. Add milk, remaining sugar, margarine, molasses, salt and 2 c. of the flour and the oats; beat until smooth. Mix in enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap, then a towel; let rest 20 minutes. Grease 2 loaf pans. Divide dough in half; roll each half into a 12x8 rectangle. Roll up tightly starting with short end. Place loaves, seam side down; brush with oil. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator for 2 - 24 hours.
When ready to bake; remove loaves from refrigerator; let stand uncovered at room temperature, 10 minutes; puncture any large bubbles with a greased toothpick. Bake at 375* for 30 - 40 minutes.
