1 cup uncooked oatmeal
1 1/2 cup boiling water
Mix the above and let stand to cool for 20 minutes

Add 1/2 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon


Topping:
Mix together and pour on the cake while it is still warm
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup coconut
1/4 cup milk

Can also brown 1/3 cup of walnuts and sprinkle on top
