8 oz -Velveeta – cut into cubes
2 sticks - butter (1 cup)
1 bag - semi-sweet chocolate chips or bitter-sweet
1 tsp - vanilla

2 lbs - powdered sugar – sifted (do this first and have it ready in a very large bowl)

Directions:

Melt the butter and the cheese in a sauce pan over medium heat stirring constantly.
Add the Vanilla and the chocolate chips and stir until melted.
Add one cup of chopped nuts to melted mixture if desired.

Pour melted chocolate mixture over the sugar and mix. The candy will be stiff; you may have to kneed it to get it all to mix well. Press the mixture into an 11 x 13 pan. Refrigerate till solid then cut into cubes.
