2 1/4 c. + 2 Tbsp. flour
1 heaping tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
14 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Combine butter, sugars and vanilla in large bowl; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; blend well. Stir chocolate chips and pecans. Refrigerate dough for an hour. Drop by rounded teaspoons on parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes

This is my mom's (Marilyn Spruell) recipe. It is a variation of the recipe on the Nestle Chocolate Chip bag. They don't flatten out and are more cake like. I use a small scoop to place the dough on the cookie sheet.
