1/4 lb. salt pork
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. currants
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. citron, chopped
1/2 c. candied orange peel
1 egg, beaten
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. cloves
1/4 t. allspice
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. soda
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over pork and cool. Plump currants and raisins and combine with flour. Add all ingredients to the cooled pork. Mix well. Bake at 300* for 1 1 /2 hours.
