5 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 pkg. yeast
2 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 c. warm water. Sift flour, soda, salt, baking powder and sugar together. Cut in shortening with fork until mixture is course. Add yeast and milk to dry mixture. Mix to stiff dough. Knead on floured board or table. Pinch off biscuits or roll and cut out. Allow to rise 10 minutes. Bake at 425º for until golden brown, (10 to 15 minutes).

(Extra dough can be stored for several days in refrigerator.)
