2 1/2 lb. beef round steak, cut 3/4 to 1-inch thick
3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cooking fat
6 small potato, pared (about 1 1/2 lb.)
3 small onions, cut in half
1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cut round steak into 6 serving size pieces. Combine 3 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper; dredge meat and brown in cooking fat in large frying pan. Add potatoes, onion, and 1/2 cup water. Cover tightly and bake in a slow 325º oven for 1 1/2 hours or until almost tender. Remove onions. Remove meat, potatoes to warm platter. Measure cooking liquid and water to make 1 1/2 cups, blend 2 tablespoons flour and 1/2 cup water. Cover.
