2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Karo syrup
1/2 cup water
Dash of salt
3 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup broken pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cook in medium saucepan, sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt. Bring to boil. Meanwhile beat egg whites very stiff. Cook syrup to 240º and slowly pour 1/4 syrup mixture over egg whites while mixer is running. Continue to cook the rest of syrup to 265º( hard crack stage) and slowly pour over the mixture. Leave mixer beating and add vanilla extract. Beat until mixture loses it's shine and begins to hold it's shape. May take 12 minutes more or less. add pecans when divinity is ready. Drop by spoonsful onto waxed paper. Put pecan half on each piece.

Note: Use this same recipe to make pecan logs only beat it longer. and butter hands to make logs.
