Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 T. sea salt
1 T. garlic powder
1 T. onion powder
1 tsp. ground thyme
1 tsp. rubbed sage
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. black pepper
2 whole chickens, skin removed and separated into white & dark meat parts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients together in a small bowl and rub into the chicken, making sure to get the rub into the nooks and crannies. Let the rub sit on the chicken for up to 12 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat the grill to medium heat.

Place the dark meat on the grill first because it has a longer cooking time than white meat. Grill until the internal temperature of the dark chicken is 180 degrees F., grill the breast to 165 degrees F., measure with an instant-read thermometer. When the chicken is almost finished grilling, baste it with a generous amount of barbecue sauce all over the meat.
