4 cups flour
2 T. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
2 T. white sugar
2/3 cup butter
2 cup milk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Gradually stir in the milk until the dough pulls from the side of the bowl. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead about 15 - 20 times. Pat or roll dough out to 1" thick, cut biscuits with a large cutter or a juice glass dipped in flour and place biscuits onto a ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 13 - 15 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
***Brush with melted butter half way through baking.
