11/2 C. flour
11/2 sticks butter (3/4 C.) softened
1/2 C. powder sugar
1 t. each lemon & orange peel (finely grated)

FILLING:
4 lg. eggs
2 C. granulated sugar
1/4 C. flour
1 t. baking powder
2 t. each lemon & orange peel
1/3 C. fresh lemon juice

TOPPING:
1 tub (16 oz.) sour cream
1/3 C. sugar
1/3 t. vanilla

Decoration: red & yellow food coloring.

1. Heat oven 350 º . Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan w / foil.

2. Crust: In food processor combine all crust ingredients til mixture holds together & forms a dough. Press evenly over bottom of pan. Bake 12 to 15 min. til golden brown & firm to the touch.

3. Filling: Whisk all filling ingredients in a med. bowl til blended. Pour over crust. Bake 18 to 20 min. til top is golden.

4. Topping: In med. bowl stir all topping ingredients til blended. spread all but 3 T. over filling.

5. Tint the 3 T. topping with food color. Scrape into a quart size plastic bag. Snip tip off one corner & pipe small dots evenly spaced on topping. Bake 8 to 10 min. til topping is set. Cool in pan Then refrigerate at least 1 hr.

6. Lift out of pan by lifting foil. Cut in bars.

TIP: These freeze well. Freeze them first on a cookie sheet in a single row. Then place in an air tight container with wax paper between layers & freeze up to 1 month.
