"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe was given to me when a neighbor brought me one of these pies when Steve was born.
It is the MOST requested at all our church meals and my absolute favorite. Leon's dad loved it and I always made him one and took it to him whenever we went to New Bern.
