1 lb. ground beef
3-1/2 c. tomatoes
8 oz. can (1 c.) seasoned tomato sauce
1-2 envelopes spaghetti sauce mix
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. pkg. lasagna or wide noodles
6-8 oz. mozzarella cheese
1 c. cream style cottage cheese
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Brown ground beef slowly, spoon off excess fat. Add next four ingredients. Cover and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste. Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and dry noodles.
Place half the noodles in an 11-1/2 x 7-1/2 x 1-1/2 baking dish. Cover with 1/3 of the sauce mixture, add half the mozzarella cheese, then half the cottage cheese.
Repeat layers, ending with sauce. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Cut into squares.
