Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 c. rolled oats
1 c. rice bran
1 c. sesame seeds
1/2 c. dried cranberries
1/2 c. dried currants
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. organic canola oil
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. honey
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250º degrees F. In a large mixing bowl combine the oats, rice bran, seeds, and nuts. Add the oil and stir evenly.
Pour in maple syrup, honey, and vanilla and mix well until evenly moistened. Mixture should be crumbly and sticky. Spread mixture in a cookie tray and bake for 90 minutes, stirring every15 minutes for even toasting until the mixture is golden brown and dry.
Add dried fruit at the end.
Cool well and store in airtight container.
Variations: I like to add dried sour cherries instead of (or as well as) currants. Sometimes I go to Bulk Barn and select a variety of different dried fruit for this granola, usually putting in more than the 1 cup of dried fruit.

Personal Notes:
I took this camping last summer at Lake Lucerne and it was a hit. Can serve hot on rainy mornings--just use warm milk.
