1 cup chopped dried apricots (toss with flour after cutting to keep pieces separated.)
3/4 cup dried cranberries (toss with flour to keep berries separated.)
3/4 cup slivered almonds-toasted lightly in oven
1 cup butter or margarine (2 sticks), softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sweetened flaked coconut
3 cups oats, uncooked

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine dried apricots, cranberries and almonds. Set aside. In a bowl, add butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat until creamy.
Add 2 eggs beat into mixture. Add almond extract, mix well. Mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add to above mixture. Lastly, add coconut, oats, apricots, and cranberries; stirring by hand.

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoons, 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 14-15 minutes until tops are golden. Cool on wire racks.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
