Ingredients:  
3 lbs. green cabbage
1 green pepper
salt
water
1/2 lb. bacon
1 large can of chopped tomatoes
1. c. chopped onion
1 stalk of celery
1 c. of carrots, sliced thin
1/4 c. vinegar
2 cloves
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. allspice
1/4 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cook cabbage and green pepper in salted water until boiling point, then drain.

Fry 1/2 lb. bacon until crisp, then add onion, celery, parsley and carrots and add to cabbage.. Simmer all until done.

Boil1 c. water with 1/4 c. vinegar, 2 cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1 tsp. allspice and 1/4 c. sugar. Put cabbage in a 9X13 pan. Pour over cabbage.

Cook uncovered in 350º oven until brown and bubbly.
