"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 (5 pound) bone-in ham- I generally use boneless smoked ham
1/3 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons onion powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Rinse the ham and pat dry with paper towels.
Place the ham in a shallow roasting pan. In a small bowl, mix together the mustard, maple syrup, brown sugar and onion powder. Slice the ham about half way down and coat entirely with the glaze using a spoon or brush. Be sure to brush the glaze between the slices.
Roast the ham (boneless smoked ham) covered for 30 minutes, remove the tinfoil and roast for another 30 minutes. When using 5lb bone in ham, roast for 2 hours in the preheated oven, or until heated through. Let it rest for about 15 minutes before carving to keep it from drying out.
