4 slices bread (torn)
3/4 cup milk
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 chopped or grated onion
1 lb. hamburger
1 can mushroom soup
2 bullion cubes

Directions:
Directions:
Mix everything together in large bowl, except soup, hamburger, and bullion.
Add hamburger and mix well. Form into meatballs and brown in margarine. Place in 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish and cover with mushroom soup. May add fresh mushrooms if desired. Bake 1 hour at 350º.

Sauce: After removing meatballs from frying pan, drain off grease. Add the mushroom soup, 1/2 can water, and bullion cubes to pan. Bring to a simmer and pour over meatballs.
