Chopped dried apricots
Chopped dried mango
Red and Green maraschino cherries, chopped
6 red cherry halves and 6 green cherry halves to decorate the top
Icing sugar

Directions:
Make dough by using "The Best Bun Recipe" (See recipe in this section). Roll dough into a 15" by 6" rectangle. Place on greased cookie sheet. Make 2" cuts on each side at 1/2 inch intervals. Spread fruit down the middle. Crisscross strips and shape into a candy cane. Cover and let rise. Heat oven to 375º F. Bake until golden brown, 18-20 minutes.

Mix a glaze by stirring icing sugar and water. Drizzle the glaze on top of loaf.

This is a traditional part of our Christmas morning brunch in our home. I make it on Christmas Eve and some years I will make three of them and give to friends. I remember Grandma and Granddad Bagnall visiting at Christmas, many moons ago, and thoroughly enjoying this Christmas tradition!
