2 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp. Sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
1 egg separated
milk plus yolk =2/3 c
2/3 cup crushed cornflakes or rice krispies
1 tsp cinnamon
5 cups sliced apples
1 1/2 c white sugar
1 egg white beaten
2 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, salt shortening as you would pie crust. Add egg-milk and mix.
Roll out 1/2 dough to fit jelly-roll pan. Sprinkle with crushed cornflakes.
Mix apple slices , sugar, cinnamon. Spread over crust.
Dot with butter. Roll out last 1/2 of dough, lay out over apples. Spread around edges. Cut slits in top.
Beat egg white and brush on top crust with pastry brush.
Bake at 350º for 1 hour.
Drizzle with powder sugar glaze.
