2 lbs boiled potatoes
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
3 T butter or margarine
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 sweet red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
1 t salt
dash pepper
2 t vinegar
1/4 c parsley
1 bay leaf
dash paprika
dash nutmeg
1/4 c milk
1/2 c Swiss cheese, shredded

Directions:
Directions:
While potatoes are cooking, brown ground beef in butter. Mix in onion and pepper. Cook until onion is limp. Spoon off excess fat. Mix in garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar, parsley and bay leaf. Spread beef mixture in a greased casserole pan. Add 2 T butter, paprika, nutmeg and milk to potatoes. Beat until smooth, adding 1-2 T more milk as needed. Salt to taste. Spread potatoes mixture evenly over ground beef. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered at 400º for 20-25 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
