2 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
(opt.) 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Combine flour, baking soda & salt; set aside. Cream butter & sugars together, beating until creamy. Beat in eggs & vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chips & nuts. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
