1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut into 1/2-inch thick strips
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. each: salt, pepper
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup canned tomatoes, liquid drained & reserved
1 3/4 cups water
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 small garlic clove, minced
1 Tbsp. beef gravy base mix
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 lbs. green peppers, cut into strips
cooked Vermicelli

Directions:
Directions:
Combine salt, pepper, & flour. Coat beef strips with flour mixture. Heat oil in a skillet; brown the beef strips in the hot oil. Stir the tomato juice, water, onion, garlic, & gravy mix into the skillet. Cover & simmer about 1 hour 15 minutes or until the meat is tender. Uncover. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce & bell pepper strips; cover & simmer 5 minutes. If sauce is not thickened enough, whisk a little flour & cold water together and stir into the skillet. Add drained tomatoes; cook 5 minutes. Serve over hot cooked vermicelli.
