1 1/2 c raisins
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
3/4 c shortening
2 eggs
1 T vinegar
1 t vanilla
5 c flour
1 t soda
1/2 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins 5 minutes in sufficient water to cover. Drain and chop. cream sugar with shortening; add beaten eggs, vinegar, vanilla and raisins and beat. Combine dry ingredients. Combine with creamed mixture. Knead until smooth, roll into loaves 2 inches in diameter. Allow to chill in ice box, slice thin and lay on ungreased pans. Bake 10 minutes at 400º.
