1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c.green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. ground oregano
1 t. basil
16 oz. canned whole peeled tomatoes, plus the juice
32 oz. canned tomato sauce
32 oz. canned kidney beans
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp. chili powder
dash cayenne pepper
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. sugar

Directions:

1. Brown beef with the onions, peppers, basil, and oregano.
2. Drain the grease.
3. Add the remaining ingredients
4. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
5. Serve!
