2/3 c. soft butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted Softasilk cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. milk

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees (moderate). Grease well and dust with flour 3 layer pans, 8 x 1 1/2 inches or 9 x 1 1/2 inches, or an oblong 13 x 9 1/2 x 2-inch pan.

Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla for 5 minutes at high speed on mixer until fluffy. Sift dry ingredients together. Add in 4 additions alternately with milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Blend on low speed just until smooth. Pour into prepared for 45 to 50 minutes. When cake is cool, ice with fluffy pink frosting.
