1 c. sugar
5 - 6 T. cornstarch
1/8 t. salt
2 c. water
2 egg yolks
2 T. milk
3 T. butter
1/3 c. lemon juice

Meringue:
2 egg whites
1/4 t. cream of tarter
1 T. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and water. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens and boils. Cook 10 minutes over hot water. Beat egg yolks and milk together; add to hot mixture. Cook another 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Beat in butter and lemon juice. Pour into baked pie shell; cover with meringue. Bake at 375*.

Meringue:
Beat egg whites with cream of tarter. Gradually add sugar
