1 c. flour
2 T. conf. sugar
1/2 c. margarine, soft
1 envelope gelatin
1 c. brown sugar
1/8 t. salt
3 eggs, separated
1/4 c. water
1 1/4 t. maple flavoring
1 c. heavy cream, whipped
1/2 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
In medium bowl; mix flour and conf. sugar. With pastry blender cut in margarine until coarse crumbs form. Press in a ball, wrap in waxed paper and chill 30 minutes. Press dough into bottom and sides of greased 9" pie plate, prick with fork. Flute edges. Bake on bottom rack at 400* for 10 - 12 minutes. Cool on rack. In double boiler; mix gelatin with 1/2 c. brown sugar and salt. Beat egg yolks with water, stir in gelatin. Place over simmering water and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in flavoring, cool. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks; add remaining 1/2 c. brown sugar until peaks form. Add gelatin mixture, beat 1 minute. Fold in whipped cream and chopped pecans. Pour into crust. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream and pecans.
