1 c. brown sugar (or maple sugar)
2 c. milk, scalded
2 T. flour (heaping)
pinch of salt
2 egg yolks (or 1 egg)
2 T. butter
1 t. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, flour and salt. Add scalded milk; cook in top of double boiler until it begins to thicken. Beat egg and add a little of the hot mixture; return to double boiler. Cook until thickens. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Turn into baked pie shell. Chill
