1 1/4 C. flour
1 1/4 C. Quaker oats(quick or old fashioned) uncooked
1/3 C. sugar
1/3 C. brown sugar packed
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 C. butter (1 1/2 stick) chilled cut into pieces
1/4 c. chopped almonds
3/4 C. raspberry preserves
1 C. (6 oz.) chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 375 º. In lg. bowl combine flour,oats,sugars,baking powder & salt.
cut in butter with pastry blender til mixture is crumbly. Reserve 1 C. oat mixture for topping, stir in almonds. Set aside. Press remaining mixture into bottom of ungreased 8 inch sq. baking pan, Bake 10 min.
2. Spread preserves evenly over partially baked crust to within 1/4 inch of edges, sprinkle with 1 C. chips. Sprinkle reserved oat mixture over chips, patting gently. Bake 30-35 min.or til golden brown.
