1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 T. vinegar
1/4 t. cream of tarter
1 t. lemon extract

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, water, vinegar and cream of tarter in a saucepan. Cook to 290* (soft crack stage). Add extract and pour out on platter that has been buttered. When cool enough to handle, pull until white and glassy. Cut into sticks or cushions.

Variations:
Other flavorings may be substitued and colorings may be added.
