2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/4 t. salt
2 egg whites (room temperature)
1 t. vanilla
1 c. cherries, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, corn syrup, water and salt in heavy saucepan. Heat to boiling while stirring. Cook without stirring to 260* (hard ball stage). When nearly done; beat egg whites stiff. Pour syrup slowly over egg whites; beating. Beat in vanilla. Stir in cherries. Drop from teaspoonful onto wax paper. Store in airtight container.
