1 pkg. (4 oz.) German sweet chocolate
3 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Filling:
2s Tbsp. butter softened
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
Directions:
In a microwave or saucepan, melt chocolate and butter; stir until smooth and set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick and pale yellow. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture and mix well. Stir in the extracts and reserved melted chocolate. And the nuts. Pour half of the batter into a greased 8-in. square baking pan; set aside.
Filling:
In another small mixing bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, flour and vanilla and mix well. Pour over batter in pan. Spoon remaining batter to create a marbled effect.
Bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes or a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
