1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 diced medium green pepper
1 minced clove garlic
1/4 onion, diced
2 med. diced tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
3/4 tsp.salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. sugar
4 oz. slivered almonds
1 head lettuce, shredded

Brown meat with seasonings. Drain. Add remaining ingredients. Cook covered until heated through. Serve over shredded lettuce with tortilla chips.
