2 to 3 pkgs yeast 1/2 cup, lukewarm milk
1 tsp sugar

8 cups flour 1 cup sour cream
3 sticks sweet butter 1 oil
1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 cup milk, as required
6 egg yolks 1 egg white for brushing

1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and sugar. Set aside to proof.
2. Cut butter into flour w/fork or pastry cutter, add sugar, egg yolks, sour cream and yeast, work them all in well, as you are mixing dough, drizzle in oil and blend it in .(you may not need all oil).
3 When dough is well blended cover with cloth, set in warm spot, let rise 2 hrs and re punch down and let rise again.
4. After 2nd rise punch down and cut into 4 equal balls and wrap with plactic wrap and let them rest in Ice box a few hours or overnite.
NUT FILLING: 2 CUPS WALNUTS,ground, 3 EGG WHITENS, beaten, 1/2 cup SUGAR, 1 LEMON RIND, grated, 1 PINCH SALT...beat eggs whites till stiff,fold in sugar, fold in ground walnuts and lemon rind..to be spooned onto dough, I add milk if to thick to spread.

bake 350 degrees/ on parcchment lined sheet/ brush each roll with beaten egg whites.. 35 min. and golden brown. freezes well/ refrig up to 2 weeks
