2-3 qt. chopped apple

Directions:
Cook and prepare roast. Mix with rest of ingredients and cook all until tender. May add apple juice if dry. Should be of pie consistency. Put in a double crust pie and bake at 350º until browned and bubbly. Wrap crust so it doesn't burn.

This may make 2 or 3 pies. It is very good!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Alice Chalcraft gave me this recipe. She was our babysitter and the kids loved her to come play with them. She would get down in the floor if they promised to help her up. She said Keith would put his arms under hers and try to lift her up. (She was getting up there in years and said when we were done with her, she would retire from baby sitting). She also sat for Russell and his siblings. She stuck her teeth out at our kids. They loved Alice!
